Meet our team!

Editor-In-Chief

Alexis Baril

My name is Alexis Baril. My goal as Editor-in-Chief is to expand The Bolt into a herald of student voices and experiences across platforms. I am a music scholar by trade and have several years of experience working on student publications and journals. My personal research is on popular music performances, and so much of my spare time is spent enjoying live music around Edmonton. Otherwise, I’m out exploring new hiking trails with my dog. I am excited to be a part of the team and am eager to bring a fresh perspective to The Bolt.

Multimedia Content Manager

Nicholas Koch

My name is Nicholas Koch. I have a background in communications, graphic design, and media. I’ve joined the team to help facilitate growth on the front of media production, which will include podcasts, event videos, student spotlights and more! In my spare time, I produce videos and all kinds of music under the name Eccentric Eclectic, although I do favour producing drum and bass more than any other genres of music. I’m excited to bring my energy to The Bolt News to provide exciting media production opportunities to students.

The Bolt News – For students, By students.

The Bolt News is the newsletter from the Concordia Students’ Association. Even though it has gone through tons of changes in the past few years, The Bolt’s main purpose will always be the same: to create a direct connection with students by informing, entertaining and supporting them.
