Terrifier 3 is currently in theaters, but that’s a christmas horror film, so we are focusing on 2  today which takes place on…you guessed it Halloween. Art The Clown is quickly becoming one of the most notable slasher villains in the horror genre to the point that Terrifier 3 is in fact beating Joker 2 at the box office as we speak. But again back to Terrifier 2

Terrifier 2 follows the exploits of Art The Clown following his resurrection after his death at the end of the first film. I personally didn’t enjoy the first film all that much and feel it’s not all that difficult to just jump right into this one, skipping the first one entirely. So while I did spoil the first one just now, I feel that's somewhat inconsequential to the overall plot. As the director Damion Leone once said, the first film was more of a proof-of-concept. This film is where the real story picks up.

The story mostly follows Sienna and her younger brother Jonathon, as well as Sienna's friends and mother. Sienna is my absolute favorite character in a slasher film ever, she plays off of Art so well and the drama and character building around her and her relationships really make you care when characters are horrifically murdered by Art.

The idea of a creepy clown like Art murdering people on Halloween is so unsettling because he really can go anywhere without anyone questioning his appearance since it’s Halloween, a fact that ends up giving him license to get into all kinds of trouble leading to the deaths of many undeserving people.

I must warn you that this film is GORY! Please don’t take my words lightly. People fainted and barfed in the theater for this one and its recently released sequel so if you decide to watch this film make sure you can handle the gore. The Bedroom Scene is especially well known by fans as arguably the most violent scene in cinematic history. If you can stomach the gore, there is a great story about family and overcoming the odds underneath it all that really speaks to me. Sienna is a fantastic character and seeing her journey over this film and Terrifier 3 has me really excited for Terrifier 4

Final Verdict: 5/5
