Things to do During the Springtime in Edmonton.

By Ayrwyn Cousins

Visit Fort Edmonton Park. If you enjoy history, or simply the aesthetic of the ‘olden days’, this is the place for you. There are many buildings from the olden days of Edmonton, as well as a train you can ride, and actors you can interact with. Currently, they have two events going on; Paranormal Tours from March 1st - April 23rd. This event allows you to explore the park at night and use tools to conduct a paranormal investigation. Times are 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM. The second event is called the Indigenous Peoples Experience, which allows you to ‘gather and explore life through the diversity of First Nations and Métis people. Both of these events are definitely worth it if you are interested in learning, but also having fun! There are many parks around the city that have great views of the skyline and allow for a calm, and cost-efficient outing. The North Saskatchewan River runs through the city, so going to sit by the shore or going for a walk in the River valley would also be a great way to have a calm, and enjoyable evening. There are many trails that are near Concordia that are gorgeous during the spring bloom! (Please be aware that walking alone in the River Valley can be dangerous, and that you should go with others). Edmonton has many great things to offer during the spring season! So get out there and have some fun!
